Hasan Selcuk, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Senior Researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology, University of Latvia. Before joining the University of Latvia, Dr. Selcuk was awarded a junior postdoctoral fellowship, subsequently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague.

He earned his PhD in Education and Professional Studies from King's College London in 2017, with a doctoral thesis exploring the implementation of web-based collaborative writing among learners of English as a Foreign Language. Dr. Selcuk's current research interests include web-based foreign language writing, the integration of computational thinking concepts into foreign language learning and teaching, and technology-enhanced language education.

Lead expert in education and technology with a Master’s degree in Education and a background in Computer Science. Serves as Deputy Head of IT and a professional education teacher at Technical School and is actively involved in developing and teaching innovative courses such as robotics, unmanned aircraft piloting, and web programming. With extensive experience in Moodle administration, project coordination, and international education initiatives.

Miroslava Černochová is a staff member at the Dept. of IT and Technical Education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. She manages and oversees a MA study programme for Informatics and ICT student teachers.

In her teaching, she focuses on courses for Informatics student teachers, primary school teacher education and PhD students. From 2007 to 2024 she was a Vice-Dean for the International Affairs, a member of the management of the Faculty of Education.

Tomáš Jeřábek works at the Faculty of Education at Charles University at the Dept. of IT and Technical Education. He received his PhD. in Pedagogy with a specialization in Didactics of information and technical education at the same faculty. His thesis was focused on the phenomenon of Augmented Reality and its use in education.

He is a teacher of pre- and in-service teacher education courses focused on educational applications of ICT related to multimedia, mobile platforms, LMS, programming and web technology. As a leader he has managed the national conceptual project Support of Development of Digital Literacy funded by the Czech Ministry of Education focused on designing a framework of digital competence in Czech curriculum and relevant learning resources.

He was also involved in European projects DIYLab and FERTILE. His expertise and professional interest is focused on programming and web applications development, e-learning platforms and multimedia and VR/AR systems supporting education.

Martin Beneš teaches informatics and physics at the primary-school level and delivers university courses in Python programming, didactics of informatics, IT didactics, and digital technology in primary education for future primary and secondary teachers.

His research interests include minors' gambling, software development, cybersecurity, and AI development.

His professional and scientific focus is on the theory of teaching computer science, virtual reality and UX design. Within the didactics of computer science he focuses on STEAM education, educational robotic kits and the use of artificial intelligence in education.

He has authored and co-authored over 83 publications in scientific journals and conference proceedings at home and abroad. 40 of these outputs are registered in WoS or Scopus databases, and he is co-author of one high school textbook and one university textbook.

He is also the chair of the organizing committee for the Slovak part and a member of the program committee of the international Didinfo conference on didactics of computer science and a member of the editorial board of The Elementary Mathematics Education Journal.

As a co-investigator, he participated in 1 VEGA project, national project IT Academy and 7 KEGA projects, of which in 3 KEGA projects as a project leader and in 2 projects as a responsible investigator for the UMB workplace. In 2024 he was awarded a foreign project AI-Empowered Teaching: Unlocking the Future of Digital Education for Teachers within the Erasmus+ call KA220-HED – Cooperation partnerships in higher education, where he participates as a responsible investigator for Slovakia in the project management.

Anat Cohen is an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University, specializing in digital learning, technology-enhanced education, and self-regulated learning. She is the Head of the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) and the Head of the Advanced Learning and Technology Research Lab (AL&T Lab).

Anat has been involved in multiple EU-funded projects, including Horizon and ERASMUS+, focusing on AI in education, pedagogical digital competence, and open educational resources. Through her work at SATEC, the AL&T Lab, and her affiliation with the UNESCO Chair, she supports research and innovation that bridge technology, pedagogy, and lifelong learning.

Actively involved in leading and participating in various national research and development projects focused on learning technologies and self-regulated learning, facilitated through the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) and the Advanced Learning and Technology (AL&T) Research Lab at Tel Aviv University.

Adi Yaakov Azaria is an MA researcher at the Advanced Learning and Technology (AL&T) Research Lab and the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) at Tel Aviv University. She holds an MA in Learning Disabilities and is a special education teacher and certified didactic diagnostician, specializing in the inclusion of students with special needs in the education system. Adi has extensive experience in mentoring teaching staff, managing educational projects, and serves as a social advocate for individuals with special needs.

Dr. Alla Bronshtein is the Head of the Unit for the Advancement of Teaching Quality, Research, and Evaluation at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University. Her work focuses on psychometrics, developing frameworks for formative and summative assessment, faculty development, promoting self-regulated learning (SRL) skills, and integrating technologies, including AI, into educational processes.

Alla is also involved in applied research projects at both the national and international levels.

Guy Grovas is the Director of The National Center for Science and Technology Teachers in Elementary Education at Tel Aviv University. His work focuses on science education, creativity, and inquiry-based learning, with a particular emphasis on metacognition and the development of 21st-century skills.

As a PhD candidate, he investigates the roles of meta-creativity and self-regulated learning in fostering scientific thinking among elementary school students. He leads national STEM initiatives focused on scientific and engineering inquiry, designs large-scale professional development programs for teachers, and promotes the integration of AI into science education.

Dafna Avidov is a team member at the National Center for Teachers of Science and Technology in Elementary Education. A central part of her work is in developing training programs and learning resources for teaching science and technology. As a member of the research team at the Advanced Learning and Technology Laboratory at Tel Aviv University, she is involved in research dealing with self-directed learning and integrating technologies to improve teaching, learning, and assessment.

Merav Rotary Saban is a PhD student researcher in the Department of Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education at the School of Education, Tel Aviv University. Her research explores the intersection between generative artificial intelligence and teaching and learning processes in higher education.

It focuses on the impact of AI technologies on academic faculty, examining the pedagogical, professional, and psychological aspects of integrating these technologies into teaching. In parallel, Merav works at the Digital Pedagogy Unit in a teacher training college in Israel, where she supports lecturers in integrating techno-pedagogical tools into their teaching through personalized guidance and professional development workshops, with a particular emphasis on generative AI.

Raffi Margaliot is an MA researcher at the Advanced Learning and Technology (AL&T) Research Lab and the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) at Tel Aviv University. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science. After a 25-year career in the high-tech industry, he shifted his professional focus to education and now serves as a computer science teacher, homeroom educator, and subject coordinator. His research focuses on the integration of generative artificial intelligence into teaching and learning.

Dr. Ran Tel-Nir has been a lecturer for many years in the course “Advanced Topics in Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery” at Tel Aviv University, as part of the Data Analysis specialization program. Dr. Tel-Nir is also a member at the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) and the Advanced Learning and Technology (AL&T) Research Lab at Tel Aviv University.

Has been involved in EU-funded projects, including Horizon and ERASMUS+. His research focuses on developing learning methodologies while applying emerging technologies to enhance and optimize education, including the integration of generative artificial intelligence, virtual technology and gamification.

Additionally, he incorporates principles from educational neuroscience to create meaningful and long-lasting learning experiences. Ran holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems, M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, and M.A. in Education (Educational Technologies).

Lior Aizenberg is an MA researcher at the Advanced Learning and Technology (AL&T) Research Lab and the Science and Technology Education Center (SATEC) at Tel Aviv University. Drawing on a background in organizational development and analysis, Lior teaches English language and arts with a focus on generative AI in K–12 education and the facilitation of professional learning communities (PLCs). Lior currently serves as a techno-pedagogue at the IVN NGO, dedicated to empowering at-risk youth through technology.
